I AM YOUR LAWYER – WILLIAM S. POTTER, ESQ.

I represent you through a contract, I also maintain a private practice, so I am very busy with both private and public clients.  Communication is important, so please follow these guidelines to make it efficient and meaningful:

If you need to speak with me, USE EMAIL:  LVMC4PD@GMAIL.COM

Please include your case number in all correspondence!

You can call my office but calls to my office go straight to voice mail.  If you want a return call, leave a detailed message with specific questions or requests, I will not typically return calls without a specific request.

I return most messages, but my time for calls is very limited.  If you do not answer my return call, I will leave a message.  If I am unable to leave a message, I will not call back.

The best way for you to contact me is email.  This creates a record of the conversation and allows me to quickly review past communication, it also lets me find answers to your questions and helps keep me organized.

WHAT’S NEXT?

  1. Wait for the “Pre-Trial” hearing, I don’t have any information about your case until then. At Pre-Trial I will relay an offer from the Prosecutor. If you don’t accept the offer your case will be set for trial and we will discuss your trial at a later date.
  2. If you live out of state, or are unavailable for any court date, please notify me immediately.
  3. Please email me your contact info; I am not given this information.  Do not try to provide this information over the phone.  This should be relayed through email, or in writing at court, or through the mail.
